This.. this right here is why we love shooting more than just weddings.
Being a photographer is much more than just taking photos.. it's building a family-like relationship with your clients.
To see families grow and to capture their journey is such a wonderful thing. I absolutely LOVE it.
This year has been busy for these two. We have had the pleasure of shooting Madeline & Stewart's wedding, gender reveal, maternity session and now.. finally!!!! Little miss Lowry Rose is in the world and so so so adorable and perfect. I cannot put into words the amount of love I have for this sweet family and how we will be here to document their lives and grow.
Cheers & congratulations to Madeline, Stewart, and Lowry Rose!
You guys made one pretty baby!
ItThis wedding was a special one for us. I have known Kouyo for almost 10 years now. Brenna and I both used to work with him at Best Buy. I have to say thanks to him for getting me out the front lanes and into the camera department. I have always been heavily into taking photos, but getting into that department made me learn so much. This helped us get to where we are to day photo wise. Kaitlyn and Kouyo are perfect together.
The wedding and reception was held at Cold Creek Farm in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Brenna found a couch for free a few months back and we finally had a chance to use it! It went so well with the brides theme. Kaitlyn was nothing short of stunning. She had that 50s vintage/rockabilly/pinup vibe going on. Her dress was a killer style only she could pull off. Kouyo’s pacific style went so well with his mothers traditional Kimono. His parents flew in Japan for the wedding. We had a torrential down pour right before the wedding, but you can't tell because the sun came out almost immediately. Thank goodness!
Their first dance was to “Baby I Want You” by Amos Lee.
Between the dances with the parents, Kouyo had a special dance with his two daughters. It was such a sweet experience.
After cake and dancing the couple headed off to Mexico for their honeymoon.
We wish the best of luck to you four! We couldn’t have had more fun capturing the day!

Where to begin when it comes to Carlos & Courtney's wedding day?
Well, being alumni to the college, the ceremony was held at Frost Chapel at Berry College in Rome, Georgia. The reception was at the Rome History Museum.
The best man said in his toast that Carlos knew he had to find and know himself first before he could find the most perfect person. He found his soul mate once he did and lucky enough for Carlos, she knows herself just as much.
There is a quote that states "no love is ever the same." The love between Courtney and Carlos is exactly that quote, one like no other.
The way they look at each other you know exactly what they are thinking. They have got love in their eyes that will last an eternity. Cheers to you, Courtney and Carlos. We hope you have the best adventure you could possibly have. We wish you the best of luck through all the sunny days and turbulence along the way.

The sparkler exit was extended out into the road. We had a cop pull up and looked around. A lot of the guests thought he was going to tell them to move off the streets... he blocked the road so we could do the exit. He grabbed a sparkler and joined the crowd. He then made sure Courtney & Carlos made it to the hotel and congratulated them on his loud speaker. Such a sweet thing to do! Thank you Rome police department!
"There is nothing more beautiful than finding your course as you believe you bob aimlessly in the current. And wouldn’t you know that your path was there all along, waiting for you to knock, waiting for you to become. This path does not belong to your parents, your teachers, your leaders, or your lovers. Your path is your character defining itself more and more every day."

Kennedy's senior session at Pigeon Hill trail in Kennesaw, Georgia was so much fun. The sun decided to hide behind the clouds but that didn't stop us. The light was perfect.
I have to wish her all the luck in the world on her new chapter in life. She has been accepted into Auburn this fall and she cannot be more excited. Congratulations Kennedy!
Madeline & Stewart could not have had a more beautiful wedding. The love between these two is unlike any other. The ceremony was held in her sisters back yard in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Madeline got ready at her parents house in Marietta, Geogria where she grew up.
We did the wedding party photos before the ceremony at Allatoona Pass Trail in Cartersville, Georgia. We were supposed to go to downtown Acworth for photos after the ceremony but when time fell short we drove to the clubhouse. I noticed a quaint spot in someones yard in the neighborhood I was just like, "Hey! Let's do the photos here! The worst someone can do would be to say please leave my yard!" So... we did. Best spot ever. The sun coming through the trees was just dreamy and perfect. My friend, Rohan, helped me shoot this wedding. I could not have been more pleased with his shots. He captured Stewart's priceless expressions when Madeline made her appearance. Their rings had "You're weird I'm weird" engraved in them. I loved that so much! So original.
Last but not least... the sparkler exit. Sparklers and rose petal cannons.. NEED I SAY MORE!?
I wish Madeline and Stewart all the love in the world. Their next adventure is coming very soon and I cannot wait to meet he or she! :)
First Dance: "You Make My Dreams" - Hall & Oates
Last fall I did Megan & Charlie's engagement session. They have been together since highschool. They attended the same college in Indiana and now that they are both back in Georgia they decided to tie the knot.
The ceremony was at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic church in Dunwoody. The reception was at the Payne-Corley house in Duluth, Georgia. The day was clear and beautiful until it was time to depart to the reception hall. It rained, once again, but we made it work! I also have to thank my friend, Rohan, for assisting me for this wedding. It was definitely needed.
I had the pleasure of talking to Megan's great grandmother. She turned 100 back in July and I simply did not belive it at first. She was so active! (You can see her in the purple dress dancing away!)
I wish these two a happy future and nothing but the best. I wish I was in the Dominican Republic. Sigh... one day!
YOU GUYS!!! I cannot tell you how crazy these next few months are going to be!!
Two weekends ago started my 2015 fall season!
Jessica and John got married at Naylor Hall in Roswell, Geogira. Jessica and I have known each other since middle school. We were chorus buddies. I am so glad they chose me to capture their big day. I am so happy to know she landed such an amazing gentleman. John and Jessica are so crazy for each other. You can tell/feel it when they walk into the room.
Baby Charlotte is finally here and oh so teeny tiny! Emma Kate thinks she is her own personal baby doll... which we all know isn't the case in the least bit! She is such a loving big sister! Charlotte is going to be a trooper when she gets a little bit older. Such a happy family. Once spring time rolls around again we will be getting full family photos, again. So exciting. Congrats to adorable baby Charlotte.
