ItThis wedding was a special one for us. I have known Kouyo for almost 10 years now. Brenna and I both used to work with him at Best Buy. I have to say thanks to him for getting me out the front lanes and into the camera department. I have always been heavily into taking photos, but getting into that department made me learn so much. This helped us get to where we are to day photo wise. Kaitlyn and Kouyo are perfect together.
The wedding and reception was held at Cold Creek Farm in Dawsonville, Georgia.
Brenna found a couch for free a few months back and we finally had a chance to use it! It went so well with the brides theme. Kaitlyn was nothing short of stunning. She had that 50s vintage/rockabilly/pinup vibe going on. Her dress was a killer style only she could pull off. Kouyo’s pacific style went so well with his mothers traditional Kimono. His parents flew in Japan for the wedding. We had a torrential down pour right before the wedding, but you can't tell because the sun came out almost immediately. Thank goodness!
Their first dance was to “Baby I Want You” by Amos Lee.
Between the dances with the parents, Kouyo had a special dance with his two daughters. It was such a sweet experience.
After cake and dancing the couple headed off to Mexico for their honeymoon.
We wish the best of luck to you four! We couldn’t have had more fun capturing the day!
Madeline & Stewart could not have had a more beautiful wedding. The love between these two is unlike any other. The ceremony was held in her sisters back yard in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Madeline got ready at her parents house in Marietta, Geogria where she grew up.
We did the wedding party photos before the ceremony at Allatoona Pass Trail in Cartersville, Georgia. We were supposed to go to downtown Acworth for photos after the ceremony but when time fell short we drove to the clubhouse. I noticed a quaint spot in someones yard in the neighborhood I was just like, "Hey! Let's do the photos here! The worst someone can do would be to say please leave my yard!" So... we did. Best spot ever. The sun coming through the trees was just dreamy and perfect. My friend, Rohan, helped me shoot this wedding. I could not have been more pleased with his shots. He captured Stewart's priceless expressions when Madeline made her appearance. Their rings had "You're weird I'm weird" engraved in them. I loved that so much! So original.
Last but not least... the sparkler exit. Sparklers and rose petal cannons.. NEED I SAY MORE!?
I wish Madeline and Stewart all the love in the world. Their next adventure is coming very soon and I cannot wait to meet he or she! :)
First Dance: "You Make My Dreams" - Hall & Oates
I am so happy that I was finally able to do this session.
The rain has been so crazy lately that we have had to push this back a few weeks.
I am glad we waited, though. The weather and the lighting couldn't have been more perfect.
Ashely & Ross are having a little baby girl. Anslie Grace. (they picked a great middle name.. haha!)
So precious! I hope I will also be meeting this little girl soon and doing their maternity photos.
Check them out!
Erin and Travis got married at Heritage Sandy Springs in Sandy Springs, Georgia.
I have known Erin for a few years now, so when she asked me I was thrilled.
I had been looking forward to this wedding since she asked me to shoot it.
Everything they did was very close to what I want in a wedding. (Sigh... one day!)
The weather was perfect. Not a cloud in the sky!
They had Mexican food catered and margaritas to drink! I was definitely okay with that!
The toasts ended by her father putting on sunglasses and the entire wedding party coming out on the floor and dancing to "Uptown Funk" by Bruno Mars. It was hilarious.
And the last song of the evening was "El Scorcho" by Weezer. It was a perfect way to end the evening.
Then they had a grand exit with sparklers.
I hope they have a wonderful time on their honeymoon in Barbados.
I also wish them all the best from here on out.
Emily saved the day by sewing Becca's dress that had ripped a little bit.
Happy First Birthday to little miss Ruby!
Erin and Blake had their maternity photos done at the mill off Sixes Rd in Canton, Georgia.
We went back to that spot for Ruby's first birthday photo shoot.
Ruby is all smiles all of the time... (well most of the time!)
All you have to do is sing "The Wheels on the Bus" and she is good to go!
Her favorite word to say is, "HI!" and she will wave, as well.
Below are photos from her first birthday shoot as well has her party. The cake was made by Rachael from Rach Makes Cakes. Her cakes are some of the best cakes I have ever eaten. And all super cute!
Go take a look at her website!
The third and last shoot of last weekend.
About a month ago I shot Maverick's newborn photos.
We booked family photos that day and I am so glad we did.
I have known Nick since I was young. His aunt was my aunt.
We all used to hang out when we were Olivia's age and now we are taking photos
of him and his family. It was Olivia's 9th birthday that weekend. OH how the times have changed.
They are such a beautiful family. It was very difficult for me to get a bad shot.
Baby Maverick is getting so big so quick! He even did his first giggle in front of Nick while at the shoot.
You can see Nick's reaction in one of the photos below. Take a look!
