This past weekend I did some head shots for one of my oldest and dearest friends, Amanda.
We have been friends since first grade and I am so glad I have kept in touch all these years.
I am so excited for the opportunities coming her way. After going to school for interior decorating, she has been doing small projects here and there, but has finally found her calling. A blogger of interior decorating and motherhood is a good way to put it.
She runs a blog called The Tale of an Ugly House. She is so creative and I love everything that she does. There are so many DIY tutorials that are actually quite easy and practical.
She is trying to think outside the box with her decorating and I think she is really exceeding that. Everyone should go check out her blog. It will be well worth your time. Potter Barn has even used one of her photos on their Instagram account and has liked a lot of her work as well.
Once spring rolls around I will be doing some family photos for her. I absolutely cannot wait!
Here are a few of her shots from Saturday:
I have known Heather for about 8 years now, and I must say that seeing her and Joshua together brings me happiness. They truly love each other and you can see that in their eyes. They care for each other and fill each others voids. It's the way love should be.
I was lucky enough to not only shoot their wedding but shoot the proposal.
A lot of thought went into everything. In November, Brenna and I drove down to Jonesboro, GA, to the Stately Oaks Mansion, to sneakily shoot the entire thing. It was heather's birthday and she just thought that she was going somewhere for that. Little did she know... She said yes and a few months later they were married and lived happily ever after.
Here are photos from the proposal and wedding.
