First post since July! Brenna and I can honestly say that the past few months have been nothing but absolutely insane with the business and our personal lives.
The past few months have been very trying physically and emotionally. Brenna's husband is FINALLY home after being deployed for 6 months. And for me, well, let's just say when relationships end, you figure out who you are, what you want, and where/how you want your life to go in the future. I have so many goals and resolutions for 2018 and so far so good. Let's hope it's only up from here!
On another note, Vanessa & Marshall's wedding was so much fun. It was in Algiers Point, New Orleans. Across the Mississippi river from the french quarter. Everything was so simple, and very much Vanessa and Marshall. Marshall forgot the rings in the groom's quarters so had run and fetch them during the ceremony which made everyone laugh. Capturing the glempses Marshall made at Vanessa all day was so sweet. The recpetion was one big party and at the end there was a second line to the ferry and then they painted the town red.
I shot this one on my own and had great fun doing so. I hope it's not the last wedding I shoot in New Orleans!
Words cannot begin to describe the beauty of Lauren & Eric's wedding.
Everything was absolutely STUNNING! 70 miles west of Denver and approximately 8,730 feet (a little more than 1.5 miles above sea level), Silverthorne, Colorado is one of the most picturesque towns located in the Rocky Mountains. And the changing aspen trees was just the cherry on top. The elevation and lack of air didn't stop me from shooting some amazing photos. In the words of the bride, "I CAN'T EVEN!"
Beyoncé missed one of the best weddings ever. (Lauren tried really hard to get her to come... but you know how it is.)
Lauren did a first look with her father and Eric. I love that we changed it up a little bit and she surprised her dad and then Eric came and surprised Lauren.
They definitely got "Hitchelled" alright. One of my favorite things, besides the landscape, Lauren and Eric are huge The Walking Dead fans. In her vows she incorporated the zombie apocalypse.. because sometimes you just need to. "If the zombie apocalypse were to happen and you were to be bitten, then I would pull a Michonne and drag you around forever." Such love!
Written in the first page of the book was a gift to the groom. Lauren got them tickets to the UCI downhill championship in Val Di Sole, Italy, next September!
