"There is nothing more beautiful than finding your course as you believe you bob aimlessly in the current. And wouldn’t you know that your path was there all along, waiting for you to knock, waiting for you to become. This path does not belong to your parents, your teachers, your leaders, or your lovers. Your path is your character defining itself more and more every day."
-Jodie Foster to University of Pennsylvania in 2006
Kennedy's senior session at Pigeon Hill trail in Kennesaw, Georgia was so much fun. The sun decided to hide behind the clouds but that didn't stop us. The light was perfect.
I have to wish her all the luck in the world on her new chapter in life. She has been accepted into Auburn this fall and she cannot be more excited. Congratulations Kennedy!
The Barnett & Thompson family are always fun and ready for the camera. It wouldn't be a season change if I didn't get to take their photos!
The session was at Berry College in Rome, Georgia. If you have ever been there, you would know there are deer everywhere. It is even more so during the fall.
Kim & Hope joined the Barnett's for photos this time around. During their spring session we got photos of the dads with the kids. This time it was the moms turn!
This is my second fall session with the Mason family. Last year we did a family session at Downtown Canton. We met up again for photos again this year at my friend Ashleigh's property in Canton, Georgia. It's absolutely gorgeous and the leaves are almost at peak! The tables had turned this year. Maddie was a delight and Jay was a little upset through the shoot. He was a trooper and made it through with a good amount of smiles. They are such a beautiful family! I always enjoy working with them.
This session was very similar to the one below for Tom & Victoria.
I went to high school with David, I absolutely LOVE Maddie, and once again including a pup named Bella made it even better!
They are getting married in Marietta so we thought it would be fitting to do their engagement session at the square. We ended the session at Kennesaw Mountiain where they had their first kiss. I cannot WAIT for their wedding next September!
Words cannot begin to describe the beauty of Lauren & Eric's wedding.
Everything was absolutely STUNNING! 70 miles west of Denver and approximately 8,730 feet (a little more than 1.5 miles above sea level), Silverthorne, Colorado is one of the most picturesque towns located in the Rocky Mountains. And the changing aspen trees was just the cherry on top. The elevation and lack of air didn't stop me from shooting some amazing photos. In the words of the bride, "I CAN'T EVEN!"
Beyoncé missed one of the best weddings ever. (Lauren tried really hard to get her to come... but you know how it is.)
Lauren did a first look with her father and Eric. I love that we changed it up a little bit and she surprised her dad and then Eric came and surprised Lauren.
They definitely got "Hitchelled" alright. One of my favorite things, besides the landscape, Lauren and Eric are huge The Walking Dead fans. In her vows she incorporated the zombie apocalypse.. because sometimes you just need to. "If the zombie apocalypse were to happen and you were to be bitten, then I would pull a Michonne and drag you around forever." Such love!
Written in the first page of the book was a gift to the groom. Lauren got them tickets to the UCI downhill championship in Val Di Sole, Italy, next September!
This shoot was very exciting. Megan found me on Instagram and loved my work so she wanted me to do their engagement photos and wedding! We did these at Roswell Mill in Roswell, Georgia. This lovely couple has been together for six years. They started dating their senior year of high school and have been together ever since. Their wedding is in October and I can't wait to work with them again.
I have known this family for quite some time. I used to work with Terrance at Best Buy. When it was just him, Lara and Tolani. Now they have Micha, and the twins, Jaidon and Jordan... four wonderful kids and such a loving family. I have got to capture this family grow and grow. I am so grateful to know them and can truly say they are such a blessed family. I hope nothing but the best for them.
The Teems family are friends with my sister.
I have met a lot of wonderful families through her,
and I have absolutely loved working with all of them.
Maegan and John have a great family. Reed, 6, and Emrey, 4 months.
She is so precious, and Reed is already a handsome little man!
We went to the Euharlee covered bridge in Euharlee, Georgia, for photos.
It was my first time out there, but definitely not my last!
I ran into Bethany at a Halloween party. I used to work with her when I worked at Best Buy.
She is recently engaged to a wonderful gentleman named Josh. They are a great couple together.
A very rainy Sunday we decided to do a small shoot at Roswell Mill. They brought their pup, Leo, along. He is the most precious Dalmatian that I have ever met. I will be doing their wedding in April and I cannot wait! So, that means more photos to come of this lovely couple.
