This.. this right here is why we love shooting more than just weddings.
Being a photographer is much more than just taking photos.. it's building a family-like relationship with your clients.
To see families grow and to capture their journey is such a wonderful thing. I absolutely LOVE it.
This year has been busy for these two. We have had the pleasure of shooting Madeline & Stewart's wedding, gender reveal, maternity session and now.. finally!!!! Little miss Lowry Rose is in the world and so so so adorable and perfect. I cannot put into words the amount of love I have for this sweet family and how we will be here to document their lives and grow.
Cheers & congratulations to Madeline, Stewart, and Lowry Rose!
You guys made one pretty baby!
Paul & Elizabeth welcomed little Henry into the world on January 22nd. Weighing in at 8lbs 4 oz. & 21.5" tall. It is definitely newborn season.
I will say that parenthood looks great on these two loving parents. The grandparents and Katie, Elizabeth and Paul's soon to be sister in law (!!), were there for this session, too. It made the session just a little bit more special. The nursery was woodland themed. Elizabeth collected figurines as a child and was able to take some from her collection for the nursery. So sweet.
I had the pleasure of taking little miss Mila Arra's photos this past weekend. She was born 12.31.15. At a month old, she just keeps getting more and more precious. She was so tired but didn't fall asleep until the end of the session. You can notice by all the baby yawns I captured. Her big brother, Liam, loves his new little sister and settling in quite well.
Carissa & John have such a beautiful family. I am excited to see what this year brings them & so on. Take a look....
Joel & Patrick are two of my oldest and dearest friends of mine. This session was a very special one for me.
These two have gone through all the ups and downs of adoption. They have paid their dues for years with all the waiting and heartbreak. It has all paid off now because they have Greyson Eli Atchison. This handsome little man has no idea how incredibly lucky he is to have TWO wonderful and caring fathers.
The morning they went into the NICU to meet him for the first time, little Greyson was sick and screaming his lungs out. The minute they stepped up to him he calmed right down. The nurses were in tears. They had to take turns stepping out of the room. Greyson knew he had just met the two loves of his life that will be there for him and love him unconditionally.
I cannot wait to see him grow up and help capture all of his milestones.
Congratulations you three. You guys truly truly deserve all the happiness that is coming your way.
I must say that Jessica and Rich make some beautiful babies!
Jessica is sisters of one of my really good friends and she is also my coworker.
Having two girls, she went to full term not knowing the sex of the baby.
They were blessed with a super adorable baby boy named Reed.
He was so alert and has so much character already.
They were originally scheduled for last weekend,
but due to me being sick I didn't want to risk being around a newborn.
It was worth the wait and just in time for mothers day!
Kim contacted me after seeing the photos I did of baby Maverick.
Her and Jordon's little baby girl, Hope, is so adorable. Almost everything in her nursery was something that someone in their family had used at one point or another. The crib was Kim's that they refinished and the bassinet was Jordon's when he was a baby. It was so classic and neutral colored that it made the light so much better. See for yourself how cute of a baby little miss Hope is.
Saturday was originally going to be full of mini family shoots.
The weather ended up being extremely cold and windy.
So, instead I ventured up to Adairsville, Georgia, and took some precious newborn photos of baby Emmett.
He is such an adorable newborn baby.
The cold windy weather was worth it! See for yourself how handsome this little man is.
I had two newborn sessions yesterday. This post is about 6 week old, Maverick. He was so alert the entire session. He was probably the most calm baby thus far of my newborn shoots. He has an older 8 year old sister, Olivia, which was being such a great helper while making sure her baby brother was comfortable during the shoot. NIck & Christie are such great parents. Nick is the nephew of my aunt by marriage. I call them my cousins.. because you know that's how families work.. especially down here in the south. I will be doing more family photos for this lovely family in November. I cannot wait to see how those will turn out as well.
My beautiful sister had her third child today.
Jacob Daniel Nida - 8lbs 12 oz.
She now has three boys.
I spent the day with her in the hospital taking photos of all the friends and family that came in to visit.
Ben and Drew, the two older boys, were so excited to meet Jake for the first time.
They truly love him so much.
I wish nothing but the best for the happy family and party of 5.
Of course I had to get one of me with my sweet chubby cheeked nephew.
Happy Father of 3 and their Granmommy
& here come the Big Brothers!
Ben realizing he is no longer the baby anymore, but a big brother!
When my grandma had my mom and uncle, she didn't get to change the first diaper.. so she had the honor to change Jake's first this go 'round.
